How to build trust in your brand

Here are four keys to building a brand your clients can trust.

How to build trust in your brand

1. Stop hiding and put the real you out there!

So many of us have no alignment between our online persona and the way we show up in real life.

By showing your face, your voice, your personality, your story and your energy, you give people a sense of what to expect when they work with you.

Designerbloom partners with photographers who will not only make you look amazing but will do so by keeping you at ease throughout your photoshoot. I provide my photographers with a style guide and art direction for branding photo shoots.

Sara-Jane Austen Designerbloom Graphic Design

I had my own branding photoshoot with Deanna from Deanna Walker Photography - the entire day was an absolute blast and I refer all of my local clients her way!

2. Align your copy and design

Show the experience you’re going to deliver. Show a high level of attention to detail and care in your branding and marketing, that way people can instantly tell your services are going to be absolutely above and beyond! A high quality service needs high quality branding. It’s time to stop being the best kept secret out there and start being known for your brilliance!

Properly written website copy is an art - it needs to factor in keywords and SEO. Designerbloom partners with some excellent marketing strategists and copywriters who can turn your words from mer to WOW!

I refer most of my clients to Pip from Articulate Brand Communications; A word-nerd who writes copy that reaches & resonates with your audience.

3. Explain your process and value

Don’t assume people know what to expect when they work with you.

If what they’re expecting doesn’t match the outcome, you’re not going to end up with happy clients. Make it easy for people to buy from you by explaining what you do and how you do it in plain language that is at your reader’s level.

4. Establish your credibility

Your job is to prove that you’ve got the skills, track record and experience to deliver the results your prospective client is looking for.

Your site needs to be full of testimonials, reviews, case studies, past work examples, before and afters, conversations with clients, helpful blog posts, ebooks, and other free content.

Follow these steps and you’ll be well on your way to building a brand people can not only trust but understand and know what to expect.
